Automobiles in German Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Police State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Police stated they were alerted by a man who discovered a car in Hanau marked with red-colored fluid

Around fifty automobiles have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the Germany's city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were defaced, in some cases with swastikas, they reported in a official communication.

Officers say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.

The liquid had been applied in the shape of a swastika, they added.

Police then located many other marked cars and house walls in the surrounding area.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Officials say preliminary tests show the substance was most likely blood from a person.

"Currently there is no indication as to where it came from; investigators are currently not cognizant of any harm in relation with the event," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to resolve the case" and have requested to the community for details.

An important official commented the attack rendered him without words and had to be addressed quickly.

"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, referring to the death of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on individuals of immigrant origin in February 2020.
